Simone Cottrell (she/her/គាត់), owner & founder of Rachhana Creative Consulting, is a multihyphenate creative whose medium is Narrative Justice. RCC’s clients have included the Smithsonian Folklife & Traditional Arts, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and Arkansas Arts Council. Simone’s primary creative practice is social practice theatre-making with previous partnerships including the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, Workers Justice Center, and Marshallese Educational Initiative. Simone’s 2023-24 projects include One Nation/One Project (Phillips County, AR), Arkansas Country Blues & String Band Festival, and continued development of her original protest performance art “Where is Justice?” She is the 2023 - 24 recipient of both the Arkansas Arts Individual Fellowship Award in Community Engagement and the inaugural Sipp Culture Rural Creatives Award. Previous recognitions include the Interchange Award, Innovation Award, and Artists 3 60 Grant. She is currently on the board of the National Cambodian Heritage Museum & Killing Fields Memorial, as well as NWA Girl Gang. Simone enjoys learning about the intersection of arts & culture and philanthrocapitalism.
