Mike Keo is a storyteller and community builder. He founded #IAMNOTAVIRUS, an online campaign that successfully advocated for federal hate crime legislation, known as the No Hate Act during the COVID era. In addition, he co-founded the Make Us Visible movement in Connecticut, which passed legislation to include AAPI History in CT public schools. He played a key role in leading and co-designing a program for Asian American and Black students to foster deeper understanding between them and their families as part of CT’s folklife program.

Mike received recognition as a Hometown Hero, made 2023 CT Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list, and was honored with the inaugural Community Award from the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He lives in West Hartford with his wife and two sons. Mike serves on the boards of the Cambodian Buddhist Society of Connecticut and The National Cambodian Museum and Killing Fields Memorial in Chicago, and he is also a member of Governor Lamont's Hate Advisory Crimes Council.
